Banu Dağcıoğlu Türkeli


Banu Dağcıoğlu Türkeli, who graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Ballet Department, worked in the Modern Dance Group unit of Ankara State Opera and Ballet between 1995-2006, and in İzmir State Opera and Ballet since 2006. She worked as a ballet artist.

She took part in various local and international representations until 2016 and danced as a soloist. After having completed her active dancing life, she continues her choreographer and repetitor duties at İzmir State Opera and Ballet. She also worked as a classical ballet and modern dance instructor at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory. Türkeli (who has been the Dance/Ballet director of TED İzmir College Art Academy with the aim of promoting State Conservatories, State Ballet and Ballet/Modern Dance to young generations and raising awaireness) has also been the Founder, Artistic Director of Wheelchair DANCE Project (WCDP) and a volunteer dance teacher…

This project is currently continues on a completely voluntary basis with the aim of creating “RAISING AWARENES of CHILDREN WITH DANCE.
