Banu Dağcıoğlu Türkeli, who graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Ballet Department, worked in the Modern Dance Group unit of Ankara State Opera and Ballet between 1995-2006, and in İzmir State Opera and Ballet since 2006. She worked as a ballet artist.
She took part in various local and international representations until 2016 and danced as a soloist. After having completed her active dancing life, she continues her choreographer and repetitor duties at İzmir State Opera and Ballet. She also worked as a classical ballet and modern dance instructor at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory.
